Do Your Email Flows Need a Makeover?
Remember, your flows should be working as your silent sales team.
Hey,
It's Nathan Schacherer with CreativeDTC.
Ever feel like your email flows are just... meh?
You're not alone.
We see it all the time with new clients. They might have the flows set up, but something's off. The revenue isn't flowing like it should.
So how do you know if your flows are underperforming?
1- First, look at your Revenue per Recipient (RPR). If it's below $0.50 per email, you've got room for improvement. Your flows should be making money, not just inbox fillers.
2- Next, check your conversion rate. Aim for at least 3-4% of recipients making a purchase. If you're below that, your emails might not be sealing the deal.
3- Open rates matter too. Below 40%? Time to improve those subject lines or get smarter with segmentation and focus on adding more value.
4- But here's the thing - if your flows aren't driving at least 30-50% of your email revenue, they need work.
We recently helped a client take their cart abandonment flow from a sad 5% recovery rate to over 15%. How? We played around with the timing, made the emails actually worth opening, and threw in some results-focused social proof.
Remember, your flows should be working as your silent sales team. They should recover carts, welcome new subscribers, and keep customers coming back for more.
If they're not doing that, it's time for an overhaul. Regular testing, smart segmentation, and email content that adds value can turn those underperforming flows around for you.
Don't let weak flows hold you back, your emails should be working harder than you are.
Email Inspiration Of The Day
Brand: AVALINE
Notes: I love the hero section. It’s clean, and just does its job with the CTA well-placed above the fold as well. The design is simple and easy to read, which works well. Adding images for each recipe could make the pairings more engaging. It’s missing reviews or social proof, which could build trust. Overall, it’s strong but could use more visual appeal and credibility to drive action.
Skip the polished marketing. Show the real story.

→ Real people, real decisions
→ Values in actionAuthenticity builds connection. Connection builds fans. Pull back the curtain.
